These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sleep Sounds: White Noise (the "App"), provided by AppMaven Studio ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

Sleep Sounds: White Noise is a mobile app for white noise, sleep sounds, relaxing audio mixes, breathing exercises, sleep timers, reminders, favorites, and related app features. The App is designed for personal, non-commercial use.

The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. The App is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If you have a medical condition, sleep disorder, mental health concern, or emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

2. Eligibility

You may use the App only if you can legally agree to these Terms under the laws that apply to you. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. No Account Required

The App does not require an AppMaven Studio account. Many settings and app preferences are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the App, clear app storage, change devices, or use device cleanup tools, local data may be deleted and may not be recoverable.

4. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a compatible device for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or publicly display the App or its content except as allowed by law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Use the App for illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or unauthorized purposes.
  • Interfere with, damage, overload, or disrupt the App, advertising systems, billing systems, or related services.
  • Bypass, disable, or manipulate ads, premium access, rewarded unlocks, purchase validation, or security-related features.
  • Use automated tools, scripts, bots, or similar methods to interact with the App in a way that is not intended for normal personal use.

5. App Content and Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, icons, sounds, audio content, images, code, features, and other materials, is owned by AppMaven Studio or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or any App content to you.

You may use sounds and features inside the App for your own personal use. You may not extract, redistribute, resell, upload, publish, or reuse App audio, images, or other assets as standalone files or as part of another product unless you have our written permission or the law allows it.

6. Ads and Rewarded Ads

The free version of the App may show ads, including app open ads, native ads, and rewarded ads. Ads may be provided by Google AdMob and related advertising partners. Advertising availability, format, frequency, and content may vary by region, device, consent status, app version, and third-party service availability.

Rewarded ads are optional. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, the App may provide a temporary unlock for certain premium sounds, scenes, or features. A rewarded unlock is not a permanent purchase and may expire after the displayed or configured unlock period. We may change, limit, or remove rewarded unlocks where needed for technical, policy, business, or legal reasons.

7. Purchases and Premium Features

The App may offer a one-time premium or ad-free purchase through Google Play Billing. Prices, taxes, currency, and availability are shown in the App or in the Google Play purchase flow before you confirm a purchase. In-app pricing must match the pricing shown in the user-facing Google Play billing interface.

Purchases are processed by Google Play. To make a purchase, you must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service, Google Payments terms, and any other terms that apply to your Google account and payment method.

Premium access may include features such as removing ads, unlocking premium sounds or scenes, increasing app limits, or other benefits described in the App at the time of purchase. Premium features may require a compatible device, compatible app version, Google Play services, and normal App operation.

If you change devices, reinstall the App, or clear local app data, you may need to use the restore purchase feature or the same Google Play account used for the original purchase. We are not responsible for loss of access caused by using a different Google account, unsupported device, modified app build, unofficial app store, or platform restriction.

8. Refunds

Refunds for purchases made through Google Play may be handled by Google Play and are subject to Google Play refund policies and applicable law. You may also contact us for purchase support. We may issue refunds where appropriate and permitted by Google Play tools, our policies, and applicable law.

If a refund is issued for a premium purchase, premium access may be removed or disabled.

9. Notifications and Device Settings

The App may offer media playback notifications, bedtime reminders, streak reminders, Night Dim reminders, or similar features. Notifications require device permission where applicable. You can manage notification permission and related settings in the App or in your device settings.

The App may also use device features such as audio playback, foreground media playback, wake lock, local storage, and device time zone information to provide App functionality. Some features may not work if device permissions, background activity, battery settings, or system restrictions block them.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information may be stored locally, what third-party services may process, and what choices you have. Please review the Privacy Policy before using the App.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The App may use or link to third-party services such as Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Google Play review features, email apps, share sheets, websites, or other services. Third-party services are not controlled by us and may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and rules.

We are not responsible for third-party content, ads, services, payment systems, policies, availability, or actions. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to the applicable third-party terms.

12. App Availability and Changes

We may update, change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. Features, content, sounds, scenes, ads, premium benefits, and supported devices may change over time. We may also release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, comply with platform requirements, or change App functionality.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or free from data loss. Some features may depend on your device, operating system, Google Play services, network access, permissions, or third-party service availability.

13. User Responsibility

You are responsible for your use of the App, your device, your Google account, your payment method, and any choices you make inside the App. You should keep your device, account, and payment credentials secure.

You are also responsible for choosing sound volume and usage conditions that are safe and appropriate for you. Do not use the App in a way that distracts you from activities that require attention, safety, or compliance with law.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

We do not guarantee that the App will improve sleep, reduce stress, increase focus, or produce any specific result.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppMaven Studio and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the App.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App or its features if we believe you have violated these Terms, used the App unlawfully, abused App systems, bypassed ads or purchases, or created risk for us, other users, third-party services, or the App.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and applicable law, will continue to apply after termination.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted means that you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where AppMaven Studio operates, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
