Terms of Service for FocusOne

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the FocusOne mobile application (the "Service") operated by AppMaven ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

FocusOne is a productivity application designed to help users focus on daily goals. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

2. Accounts and Data Responsibility

2.1. No Account Required

You do not need to create an account to use FocusOne. The application is designed to be "offline-first," meaning your data (goals, streaks, history) is stored locally on your device.

2.2. Data Loss and Backups

Because your data is stored locally:

  • We do not keep a copy of your data on our servers.
  • You are solely responsible for backing up your data using the "Backup & Restore" feature provided within the app settings.
  • We are not liable for any data loss, including but not limited to loss caused by device failure, uninstalling the app, or clearing app data.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

FocusOne offers both subscription plans and one-time purchase options ("Premium Features") via Google Play Billing.

3.1. Subscriptions (Monthly & Yearly)

  • Payment: Payment will be charged to your Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
  • Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Google Play Account Settings after purchase.

3.2. One-Time Purchases (Lifetime & Supporter)

  • Lifetime Access and Supporter packs are non-consumable, one-time purchases that grant access to specific features indefinitely (for the lifetime of the Service).

3.3. Refunds

  • All purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not process refunds directly. Refund requests must be made through Google Play's support system in accordance with their refund policy.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality (including the "Neobrutalism" design, logos, and code) are and will remain the exclusive property of AppMaven and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both Vietnam and foreign countries.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service:

  • In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
  • To attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • To exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors in any way.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall AppMaven, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
  • (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and
  • (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.

7. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
