FocusOne ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and discloses information, and what choices you have with respect to the information.

1. Information We Collect

FocusOne is primarily an offline-first application, but we use third-party services to improve app stability and user experience.

A. Personal Data

We do not collect, store, or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or photos. We do not require you to create an account to use the application.

B. User Content

Your goals, streaks, and history are stored locally on your device using the Android Room Database. We do not have access to this content.

C. Usage Data and Diagnostics (Third-Party Services)

We use Google Firebase services to help us understand how the app is used and to fix technical issues.

  • Firebase Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data (e.g., button clicks, screens visited, session duration, successful goal completions) to improve the app's features.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: In the event of an app crash, we collect anonymous crash logs (stack traces, device model, operating system version) to help us identify and fix bugs.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third-party services which may collect information used to identify your device (via Advertising ID or Android ID) for analytics and fraud prevention purposes:

  • Google Play Services
  • Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Firebase Crashlytics

3. App Permissions

To function correctly, FocusOne requests the following permissions on your device:

  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used solely to send you local reminders (morning prompts, streak warnings) that you have scheduled.
  • Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used to ensure precise notification delivery.
  • Vibration: Used for haptic feedback during app interactions.

4. Data Backup and Restore

FocusOne provides a manual Backup & Restore feature.

  • The backup file (.json) is created locally on your device.
  • You are responsible for the storage and security of this file.
  • We do not upload or store your backup files on our servers.

5. In-App Purchases

FocusOne offers optional Premium features via Google Play Billing.

  • All payment transactions are processed securely by Google Play.
  • We do not collect or store your financial details (credit card numbers).

6. Children’s Privacy

FocusOne does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information, our analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.

7. Your Choices (Opt-Out)

You can opt-out of Analytics tracking by:

  • Disabling "Usage & Diagnostics" in your Android system settings.
  • Resetting your Advertising ID in your device settings.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
